It's Over....Hopefully!

Now that I am home, I am feeling very tired and very weak. I was put on a weight restriction of not lifting anything that weighs more than 10 pounds, not too hard as a receptionist ;). But that does mean I cant hold my nephew :( or my neices! SAD DAY! I also went from a normal-non-pill-popping citizen to having 3 new medications I have to take daily! ugh! what a drag! But you know, if that means I wont have to repeat this last week EVER again, Ill take it! haha. I have to go see the doctor in two weeks to check blood levels and what not and then I was told I need to see my doctor every 6 months to make sure the problem is not coming back. Explaination for this you ask? THEY DONT KNOW!!! can you believe it??? They said it is "a hormonal inbalance that just happens sometimes in younger patients". WOW what an explanation! haha. Oh well. Im on the mend and wanna thank everyone for the flowers and prayers that helped me make it home :) Yesterday at church I saw a good friend who had been in the hospital the day before with low blood sugar and his son had been in the hospital the week before for a football accident. We all decided we had to one-up each other, and came to the conclusion that I won because I not only got an ambulance ride(as did both of them) but I got 2 liters of new blood AND a surgery! haha wow gotta make light a hard situations! But thanks again to everyone that visited me and prayed that everything would be ok.

What a Weekend!

So I guess you could say I had an "eventful" weekend. It all started on Wednesday actually....while I was at work. I started feeling kind of tired and cold. I wont go into ALOT of detail but what was happening didnt go away....it just got worse actually. I decided if I still felt the same when I woke up I was not going to work....well I didnt sleep AT ALL on Wednesday night and so I stayed home on Thursday. I told them I was fighting something so I would not be in. At about 10 am I got off the couch, where I had decided to sleep for the night, went to the bathroom and went to go back to the couch....well when I got to the step in our entry way, I felt VERY dizzy....I sat down on the step and the the next thing I knew I was waking up sprawled out on the floor. I had NEVER fainted before so I was rather confused, I felt normal so I got up and went to the couch. I slept for a while and then my mom called to check on me. She asked me if I needed anything and I asked her to bring some things home at her lunch....she said she would send them with my cousin cause she was unable to come home at lunch. I decided I could deal with that. Well I slept again until my cousin arrived to bring me food and....supplies....but when I got up to let her in, I felt dizzy again. My eyes were all starry so I held on to the wall hoping it would go away. I opened the door but couldnt really see her.....I heard her tell me what the bags were and she made a joke about something in the bag....the next thing I know, I am waking up on the floor seeing her run past me telling me not to move. She was on the phone with the fire department but I couldnt figure out why she was freaking out! I was FINE! haha (or at least I thought I was). My aunt came in and kept asking my cousin where my phone was. "why are they talking about me like I am not here?!?!" and "what are they freaking out about!!! I am sleeping! I'm tired!" were the only things going hrough my mind. Finally my cousin decided to clue me in and told me that I had fainted and hit my head, and not to move, that 911 was on the way. "oh great!" I thought! "this day couldnt get any worse!!!" Talk about speaking too soon! The fire department came, checked me out, and asked me how I felt. I honestly felt 100% normal, just tired. They had me sign the refusal for ambulance(because I was not about to go to the hospital!) and then they left, telling me I looked normal but I should probably go get checked out. "gee thanks guys!" I kept telling my cousin there was no need but she wouldnt believe me. She called my mom and told her...she came straight home! With no questions, she told me to change my clothes and get in the car, we were going to urgent care. I started feeling dizzy again, so with some help i got ready to go. On the way out to the car I told my mom stop.....next thing I knew I was waking up ON THE GROUND! ok seriously, this fainting thing was getting old! Long story short, we got the urgent care and they made me take an ambulance to the ER! gosh people I am FINE! haha why was nobody listening to me? Maybe it was because I looked like a ghost....or maybe because I couldnt stand up for more than 5 seconds before feeling like the world was falling! hmm maybe. When we got to the ER, they put me in a room and told me to sit tight. My mom made some phone calls and had bishop stock and kevin(his son) come to give me a blessing. The blessing said the doctors would know what to do and my body would respond well to whatever they did. Well that's all I had to hold onto while they hooked me to all the monitors and tubes. Well after 7 hours in the ER, they sent me up to a room telling me that my hemoglobin(blood) level was at an 8.3 and that a normal LOW was 12. hmm scary right? They put me on some sort of hormone through IV to balance everything out.....a doctor came in and told me that if that didnt work they would have to do a blood transfusion and if it still didnt slow down, they would have to do a proceedure called a D and C. Well the night went by with no sleep....lots of blood work and vital checks all to get to the conclusion that I could not get away from a blood tranfusion. K all I knew about that was that my mom had to have 3 of them when she was in the hospital! um SCARY! They ended up having to give me 2 liters of blood just to find that things were not progressing....sad. On Friday afternoon they informed me I would be going into surgey, they didnt know when but if I was gonna have anyone from my church come they better come fast. My two wonderful brother in laws got there just as they were taking me to pre-op and were able to give me a blessing. It was very comforting to have a little more hope to hold on to. The blessing said I would get through the surgery fine and would have no lasting memories of it. Well....let's hope they were right :) Everything went well with the surgey and I slept a little better that night. I was not allowed to eat anything the WHOLE time I had been there but after the surgery they finally gave me ICE CHIPS...wow ice had never tasted so good! haha. They let me have "clear liquids" throughout the night and then actually let me have food on Saturday morning. They told me that if I could walk without feeling dizzy and eat without feeling sick I could go home! WOW what a relief! I would finally get the dang IV out of my hand and get to lay in my OWN bed! YES! A light at the end of the tunnel! I did fine, got my discharge info(along with three new persriptions) and a wheelchair ride down to the car.

Updated Lola

Just wanted to keep everyone updated on what
little miss Lola Marie looks like. (no she does not
have a middle name...its just an inside joke between me and a friend haha) This was actually taken today after church. As you can tell she is kinda dirty but still cute as ever! I tried to get a pic of her collar but she just kept biting me so....maybe next time.

MEMORIES!

So this is THE COOLEST pool EVER! This is where/how I spent most of my summer nights! It belongs to my friend Megan....well her parents....and now she is away for school so this pool is just a faint memory now! lol jk.....Megan will be back when it is warm enough to enjoy it so we arent missing out on much! Still miss Megan and all we did!
ISNT IT AWESOME! its So much better in person too!!!

San Diego Temple

The day we left to come home, we stopped by the San Diego Temple. I learned it is a pretty new temple....only like 8 years old. It was BEAUTIFUL though! It was a Monday so techincally the grounds were closed but we felt we could go in because we were out of towners. We snuck in through the open gate and took our pictures in peace.
I took the first picture and loved how it made it look so monstorous! But when I took this picture, the building doesnt look so BIG it looks BEAUTIFUL with the landscaping around it! Its amazing that no matter which temple you are at, the spirit you feel is all the same!

DUNA DUNA DUNA DUNA.......

This was at the shark exhibit. The one of the actual shark is from the walkway underneath the tank. It was a HUGE line and took forever to get into and then lasted maybe 4 minutes before you had to leave it, but it was still kinda cool to look up and have all these different kinds of sharks swimming abover your head like nothing. The next picture is nasty and I cant believe I put it up! It is a statue of the actual size of a sharks mouth......I know I know thats not gross that's cool....but seriously! Look at me! We had just gone to the dolphin show and BRILLIANT MISS jess made us sit in the "soak zone"....not like the 12th row but the 2ND row!!!! yeah needless to say I should not have done my hair that morning! It was fun and well worth it though

Polar Bears

So this is one of the Polar Bears from the Sea World exhibit. I will tell you now that this exhibit was the most boring because this is what they did! That is saying something too cause the freshwater fish and sea water fish rooms were not much to write home about! Even though they were kinda boring, the polar bears were still way cute! My favorite bears by far!!!
This is one of the things in the Artic exhibit. It is a HUGE wall of ice! It is to show you how cold it is where all of these animals live. At first it looks like a wall of foam....until you touch it for .5 seconds and realize it is THE coldest thing EVER! There were hand prints and finger prints in it all over the place where people had hels their hands/fingers to see how long they could stand it.
I just thought this was cool. It is a right and left Polar Bear paw print made out of plaster with jess(right) and me(left) comparing the sizes! Pretty big hands if I might say so! (the bears not us!)

OH SHAMU!!!!

So we took a trip to San Diego for the weekend the alst weekend of September. Well when I was talking to my sister about it on the way there she made a very simple request....."take a picture of Shamu to show Macie! she loves whales!" alright I thought, this would be simple....well let me tell you how hard it is to get a simple.....good picture of shamu! We went down right before the show to the tank below to try and get a good picture....looks good right???-------------->
well.....we started LAUGHING because right as I pushd the button on my phone to take the picture, Shamu decided he would let it go and dispose of all he had eaten that day.....right in front of us! We started laughing so hard because we were actually on our way to the restroom after the pic.....jess will still tell you her and shamu were "on the same page" haha

This pic is just of jess laughing at the..."aftermath" of our "visit" with Shamu.

NEW CAR!!!!!

After A LONG time of waiting and driving my little Corolla that was falling apart, I finally got my "new" car! It is a 99 Nissan Altima! It isnt brand new....but it is to me! It has AIR CONDITIONING!!! what a concept for Arizona! I love my new car!!!! I dont know what else to say about it! haha

Lola's Homecoming!

Lola finally got to come home!!! This picture is like a week after she came home. I sent it to everyone I could because she was looking so cute! You can't see it but she is wearing her little pink collar(that she HATES). It was quite an exciting week when she came home but now she is LOVED by everyone that meets her! She weighs about 2 pounds in this picture and wont get too much bigger before she is all done....the only sad part is...she will lose her cute fluffy puppy hair and replace it with white adult(not so fluffy) fur.
