This is my new nephew Lorenzo David Wright! He was born on Monday June 9th 2008. He was 7lbs 8oz and he was 20.5 inches long. We all say he was 21 inches long though cause the nurse didnt have the ruler alway up to the top of his head! haha. Ren(as we call him) has quite a story behind him! My mom and I were at the hospital at 4:30 waiting for the doctor to come tell us how much longer it would be before he was here. Well the doctor came at 5:00 and said "oh you will be here till about 11 before he even comes so get some rest" well we were ready for that answer because my neice took so long to come. So my mom and I left to get some things done at about 6:oo and my sister relaxed and tried to get some sleep. Not 45 minutes later as we were in line at costco we get a call from my brother in law. This is how it goes, mom:"hello?" vaughn: "are you home yet?" mom: "no why?" vaughn: "well turn around! she is doing better than planned! hurry!" mom: "oh my! ok we are coming!(click) BRE! lets go!" haha so we run to the car and rush back to the hospital. We get to the nurses station at 6:49 and she walks us to the room. as we get to the door a nurse comes out and says "HE'S HERE!". We missed him by TWO MINUTES! lol my mom was, needless to say, very distraught by this but Ren was here and healthy so thats all that mattered!
This is macie and her new baby brother Ren. She calls him "rerenzo" cause she cant say LOrenzo lol. She has been walking around for the last 3 weeks saying "i'll help you, im a big sister!" haha she is so cute! Also for about four weeks before ren came she would walk up to my sister's belly and say "mom! i think rerenzo is ready to come out now!" lol or one time they went to the doctor and my sister told her they were going to ren's doctor so she would be good. Well when they left macie was very worried and when they got in the car she said "MOM WAIT! we forgot baby ren!" haha she is adorable! and she is going to be such a GREAT big sister!
Ok so this is my favorite picture of ren at the hospital! My brother in law said he came out with his eyes wide open like this! He was born at 6:47 pm and we didnt leave the hospital until almost 9:30 pm......that whole time he was wide eyed and awake just like in this picture! haha that has to mean something!
