Arizona Scholarship Fund

So I'm sure you all are wondering(if anyone even reads this thing), if i found a job....

The answer is yes! and it is pretty ironic and comical how it all happened.

I applied with a few different places but nothing was looking promising :(. It was Friday night after a whole week of not working and I decided to get online and check out my facebook account. While I was on I noticed my status had been commented on...my status said something about not liking the feeling of being poor and lame(not working) and the comment was from one of my mom's friends from FOREVER ago! It said, "what kind of work do you do?"

YES my heart stopped!!!! I was so excited! I quickly checked to see if she was online...she was!!! i clicked on her name and asked her if she knew of something! She said "dear, i own a company...didnt you know??" Ok let me tell you I have not talked to the woman since I was like 12 so even if i did know she owned a company...at the time i didnt care lol. She asked me what i did in the past and when i told her my last job was a receptionist she got all excited and said they were actually looking for a full time receptionist!!!!! you have no idea how excited i was! She told me to look at her website and see if something i would even agree with....i looked at it and loved it! i sent her my resume via email and set up an interview for monday at 1....UM YAY!!!

I went in to meet with her and she kept telling me how much she missed us and how she was shocked how much i looked like my mom! My mom and her did AMWAY together from the time I was 3 until i was like 10 and we were good friends with her kids. She looked exactly as i remembered! She is like 4'9'' without heels and about 5'0'' with heels! and she wears heels with EVERYTHING! lol I think I past her in height when i was like 9....haha She went through the formalities and explained the organization to me in more detail. She stopped in the middle and said "you know you have the job right? i just HAVE to go through these silly formalities" lol i was so excited!

I started on Wednesday January 14th and was put on a week "probation" where at that point i could tell them whether or not i felt like it was something i would enjoy or not. At the end of that week I sat down with her again and told her that i LOVED it and the atmosphere was much better than previous jobs! She was so excited and then told me I was now on a four week "probation" where at the end the office will decide if i am a good fit....im half way through that and im honestly not too worried about it...they keep telling me how well i fit in and how well i handle the clients.

So now you are wondering what we do arent you??? Az Scholarships is a Non-Profit Organization that helps parents pay for their K-12 children to go to private/christian/montessori schools through tax deductible donations. When ChamBria(my boss) saw that i was going to school for elementary ed, she said she was worried because they would prob brainwash me...then i told her my long term goal was to get my Montessori Elementary training...she was VERY relieved! When I told her Kindra had a Montessori Preschool in her house, she was even more excited and told me to tell Kindra to keep in contact and when her school got bigger they would help her with tax breaks and such...I told Kindra and she was extatic!!!! My job in the office mostly consists of helping parents through the application/registration process and getting the correct funds requested to be sent to the schools. Its pretty much the same questions in every phone call so I caught on quick! I work on a reception team so there is more time to actually talk to our clients instead of feeling rushed so the next call wouldnt be missed.

The people I work with are so fun! It feels like a second family! everyone knows everyone's family and their life stories! lol It is way fun though and i get to dress up for work...in the beginning i was not excited about it but now i am liking it...i feel better about me and i feel refreshed all day instead of feeling tired and sloppy all day! haha I get my own little desk that i get to make it the way i want :) my desktop has my picture with ren from the zoo(see below post)

I have only been here for, this is the end of my third week, and already i feel like i have been here forever, and have known the girls in the office for a lifetime!!!!
